Smart Farming Seminar Sources and Solutions: The Link Between Our Soils & Water Quality

BovINE’s partner, Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA), is holding an online conference Wednesday 20th October from 8.30pm to 9.30pm (9:30-10:30 CET), discussing the findings from their project ‘Smart Farming’, which is a programme that focuses on providing farmers with the best savings in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions at farm level.

The seminar will open with a series of short videos on soil fertility, soil carbon sequestration and improving water quality, followed by a presentation by Dr. Paul Murphy, UCD who will discuss the relationship between soil type, soil fertility and water quality and how farmers can optimise production more sustainably. The seminar will finish with a Q&A session to give farmers an opportunity to ask questions.
