Minerva is a micro SME based in Hampshire, UK, specialising in Public Relations and Communications, supporting organisations across health, sustainability, food and science sectors to build capacity, competence and confidence, delivering strategies that work.

Minerva offers targeted support across all strategic communications activities, from bespoke training to comprehensive multi-discipline campaigns, event planning, online media and report writing. Whether working with charities, not-for-profits or European research projects, Minerva’s goal is to improve knowledge flow, create insights and share expertise, creating impact.

As a business Minerva address issues, causes and concerns which advance the social good. As a communications specialist, Minerva has a proven track record of working successfully and collaboratively with a range of people and groups at a variety of levels from local councils, government action groups, MPs and MEPs, national and international.

Minerva is leading WP7, the Communication and Dissemination package, with support from the Irish Farmers Association (IFA) and involvement from all project partners.

There are four areas in which Minerva can demonstrate experience and expertise:

  1. Working with farmers, farming associations and agencies that provide advice, support services and ‘governance’ of the sector (the key requirement) – plus, extensive experience in creating the expected ‘endproducts’ of the thematic network:
  2. Design, development and delivery of targeted and focused collateral for targeted stakeholders in the form of summary and detailed advice sheets, briefings and action plans fully referenced, validated and ‘endorsed’ if/as appropriate
  3. Design, development and delivery of a range of ‘appealing end-user material’ (taking account of geographical, cultural and language differences) utilising artwork and audio-visual material that is tailored, relevant and accessible for the target stakeholders
  4. Delivery of action programmes that increase the flow of information among and between stakeholders – utilising traditional and online channels

Rhonda Smith

Rhonda, Director and Team Leader of Minerva, is an experienced strategist and practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience in public relations and communication holding a BA in History & Politics and an MA in Managing Change from the University of Kent. Rhonda is the former MD of an international healthcare agency servicing pharmaceutical, consumer health and social care, professional organisations and charity clients from its European hub, based in London. With vast experience spanning multiple projects with Minerva and with particular expertise in reputation, crisis & issues management including media relations and as a trainer and mentor across academia in Europe, commerce, not-for-profit and charitable sectors.

Mimi Saville

Mimi, Account Manager at Minerva, is a Classical Civilisation & Philosophy graduate from the University of Kent. A specialist in social media and online communications equipped with strategic knowledge of social channels, Mimi has worked on a range of projects and client portfolios developing social media profiles and improving visibility, reach and awareness by creating high impact social media campaigns. With creative skills in graphic design, Mimi works closely with projects and clients to develop brands including designing logos and adapting designs to suit online channels and print, document templates, promotional materials and producing brand guideline documents. She has experience working with Minerva’s UK based commercial and NGO clients as well as with EU funded projects BIOVOICES, CommBeBiz, I. Family, and Medit-Ageing.
